SELPA Governance Council meeting scheduled for May 20, 2021
The California Department of Education (CDE) is requiring all SELPAs to update their local plans to meet the specifications of the new State form template. The new Governance and Administration section will be reviewed every three years in addition to submitting the Annual Budget Plans and Annual Service Plans each spring for the upcoming school year. These plans must be approved by the SELPA's governing body following a public hearing. Per California Ed Code, notice of the public hearing must be posted at every school within all member districts at least 15 days prior to the public hearing. Due to the COVID pandemic, the CDE is allowing the public posting to occur on district websites in lieu of physically posting at each school as indicated in their guidance in the excerpt below.The public hearing for the 2021-22 plans will be held during the SELPA Governance Council meeting scheduled for May 20, 2021.
