When developing the annual Academic Calendar for NMCUSD, our primary goal is to create a schedule that supports student learning, meets the diverse needs of students, families, and staff, and complies with the requirements mandated by the California Department of Education and Collective Bargaining Units. The academic calendar is reviewed and approved by the board every February. Reviewing the academic calendar before the start of the school year is essential for improving attendance and keeping families well-informed.

CalKIDS is a children's savings account (CA) program administered by the ScholarShare Investment Board, an agency of the State of California. CalKIDS will provide each child born in California and eligible low-income public school students with up to $1,500 for college education and career training!

School Board Meetings are formal business meetings for the district where items are voted upon by the entire board for approval. NMCUSD holds school regularly scheduled board meetings whic are typically held at 7:00 p.m. on the first and third Thursday of each month (unless otherwise noted*) at the North Monterey County High School-Media Center, 13990 Castroville Blvd., Castroville, CA 95012. NMCUSD offers School-Based Mental Health Services at each of our school sites.  Our school-based mental health services are provided through a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) in order to include the different levels of needs.

The Technology and Innovation Department provides technical support for student and staff devices and maintains and supports district information technology systems. The department oversees and maintains the district's network, telecommunications, software systems, access control, and communications systems.
