Enrollment

All families must enroll students through our Parent Portal using Synergy. New families will need to create an account and complete the required fields to proceed.

If you are a new family to NMCUSD and encounter any difficulties, please contact your assigned neighborhood school directly for assistance. Please note that new students may require a different enrollment process.

The following documents may be required when enrolling online and in-person:

1. Proof of Residency: To register your student in the North Monterey School District, provide at least one proof of residency. This can be uploaded during registration or delivered to the school office.
2. Immunization Records: California law requires all students entering public schools to be immunized before classes begin. Proof of immunization is required at enrollment and must include the person's name, birth date, vaccine type, and the date of each immunization. For a list of required vaccinations, please visit the California Department of Public Health immunization website. 
3. Birth Certificate: This certificate verifies the legal name and birth date. Students are enrolled under the legal name on the birth certificate unless a court-ordered name change is provided. Submit the birth certificate within 30 days, either uploaded during registration or delivered to the school office.
4. Legal guardianship or custody papers: If the student lives with adoptive parents or one custodial parent, the amended birth certificate or custody papers suffice. If the student lives with someone else, guardianship papers must be provided within 30 days, either uploaded during registration or delivered to the school office.

If you are having trouble accessing your Parent Portal account, please try the "Forgot Password" option on the login page and follow the necessary steps. If you still need assistance, please call our IT Support Team at (831) 633-3343 ext. 1247.
