Ms. Morrice
I was raised in Monterey County and attended local secondary schools. After High School, I worked for a Media Stock Analysis and Publishing company, and then a Library Catalogue Digital Records and Databases company. I resigned to spend 15 years as my mother's caregiver. After her death, I was encouraged by my friends to go to college, and found education to be the treasure of my life. I attended Monterey Peninsula College, earning an Associate's Degree in University Studies, History and graduating with Highest Honors. I served in Student Government as Vice President of Student Representation and as the Student Trustee on the MPC Board of Governors, as well as participating as a member of the Citizen's Bond Oversight Committee, and several other committees. I continued on to CSUMB, graduating in 2009 with a Bachelors' Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences: Social History. I graduated Summa Cum Laude and with Distinction in the Major as well as earning the top academic honor for 2009, The Provost's Award of Academic Excellence. I stayed at CSUMB to complete the Teacher Credential Program in 2010. I went to CSUEB for a Masters' Degree Program in History and began full-time teaching in 2014 in South Monterey County. I am grateful to start my second year teaching at North Monterey County High School. Go Condors!
