• Welcome students and families to the 2022-23 school year. I’m privileged to begin my eighth year as the Prunedale School Principal and to be part of the North Monterey County Unified School District Family.

I truly believe that each student can grow and learn daily and that we as adults have a responsibility to model that!

At Prunedale School, our teachers provide a well-balanced, dynamic and quality education to prepare each and every student to be college and career ready. We are committed to hold our students to high academic and behavioral standards in a safe, nurturing and positive learning environment.   We provide many opportunities for our students to engage in their own learning process. We support and encourage them to develop their creative, collaborative, and critical thinking skills through use of technology, classroom presentations and projects, artistic performances and to maximize their learning opportunities daily.

Parents and family members play a critical role in the educational success of each child. We welcome your participation in our school community and we strive to provide a warm and welcoming school environment for our families. There are many opportunities to get involved by volunteering in your child’s classroom, as part of a school committee such as the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), School Site Council (SSC) and English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC) or by helping out at any of our special events throughout the year. Your participation makes a difference to your child and strengthens our school community.

We are eager to see our Pelicans Soar to new heights this year and I know that together we can make Prunedale School a true learning community where each student reaches his or her full potential.

Thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to working with you this year!
