How can I enroll my child in the NEST program?
1. You would need to completely fill out a NEST application and turn it in to the school NEST Coordinator, front office personnel, or in person at the FRC: Family Resource Center in Castroville (see FRC page for current hours).
2. Your child's application will be processed by the Expanded Learning Department (*wait times may vary)
3. When your child is enrolled, someone from the Expanded Learning Dept. will contact you with your child's start date.
Is there a waitlist?
Due to a high volume of applications processed enrollment wait times may vary.
There are many factors that may impact the length of the enrollment process:
Grade levels impacted by high number of applications
Truancy, court/legal orders
Access to facilities
Staffing
Etc.
*Priority enrollment will will be granted to students considered McKinney Vento (Homeless Assistance Act)
What is the program schedule?
NEST operates 6:00am until the start of the Instructional Day and begins immediately after school lets out until 6:00pm daily according to the District Academic Calendar.
The after-school program schedule consists of Attendance, Movement, Supper, Academics, Enrichment, Clubs, and Snack
