Early Literacy Assessments

Each year, students participate in early literacy assessments to help edcucators monitor their reading development and identify areas of strength and growth. The results help teachers provide targeted instruction and interventions throughout the school year to ensure every student receives the support they need to become a successful reader.

i-Ready Diagnostic 

Students take the i-Ready Diagnostic assessment three times each year. The results provide baseline data that helps identify each student's strengths and areas for growth in reading and math. Based on their results, students receive personalized instruction through i-Ready My Path, which assigns lessons tailored to their individual skill levels. Students work independently on these lessons while also receiving targeted support and intervention from their teachers throughout the school year.

The California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP) Early Literacy Diagnostic

This diagnostic provide educators with research-based tools to understand students’ strengths and areas for growth in foundational reading skills such as phonological awareness, phonics, decoding, and fluency. Results help guide instruction, inform targeted interventions, and monitor student progress over time. These assessments support early identification of needs so students receive the right support to build strong literacy skills and reading success.
