JANUARY 13, 2020 TERRITORY TRANSFER MEETING UPDATE
Monday, January 13-The Monterey County Committee for District Reorganization “continued” the public meeting regarding the Petition Territory from NMCUSD. The County Committee passed the overall vote to approve the Petition. The County Committee also voted to hold an election to ask voters if they “approve” of the Petition. The voters residing within Prunedale Elementary School attendance boundaries and those within the Lagunita Elementary School District boundaries would be asked to vote. At this time, there is no additional information on when that election would take place.

June 25, 2019 - A petition generated by citizens was received in the office of the Montery County Superintendent of Schools requesting transfer of territory from NMCUSD to Lagunita School District
June 27, 2019 - The Monterey County Superintendent delivered the Petition to the Monterey County Elections Department to determine sufficiency.
