  • NMCUSD's Educator Effectiveness Block Grant (EEBG)

    The Educator Effectiveness Fund 2021 Block Grant Program was established by Assembly Bill 130, Chapter 44, Section 22, Statutes of 2021. The law specified that Educator Effectiveness Block Grant may be used to support professional learning for certificated teachers, administrators, paraprofessional educators, and certificated staff.

  • The NMCUSD's ESSER III Expenditure Plan-Draft 10-18-21

    The District has consulted with its community members in determining the prevention and mitigation strategies, strategies to address the academic impact of lost instructional time, as well as other strategies or activities to be implemented by the school district. In developing the plan, the school district has flexibility to include input received from community members during the development of other District Plans, such as the LCAP, provided that the input is relevant to the development of the district's ESSER III Expenditure Plan.   • AB 104: Grade Changes and Retention Options

    The state of California recently enacted a new law that will expand learning and credit recovery options for students who may have struggled academically during the 2020-2021 school year.   • NMCUSD K-12 Virtual E-School

    On July 9, Assembly Bill (AB) 130 was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsom, making several changes to independent study requirements that all school districts throughout California will need to adhere to for the 2021-22 school year. Under AB 130, all families will have the option to choose an independent study option for their child(ren) regardless of the reason for their choice. NMCUSD has had a fully accredited K-12 Independent Study School since 1980 and is fully prepared to serve students in grades K-12 according to the new requirements to offer virtual learning for the upcoming school year.

  • Affordable Home Internet Connection-Emergency Broadband Benefit

    The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month towards broadband service for eligible households and up to $75 per month for households on qualifying Tribal lands.

  • SELPA Governance Council meeting scheduled for May 20, 2021

    The California Department of Education (CDE) is requiring all SELPAs to update their local plans to meet the specifications of the new State form template. The new Governance and Administration section will be reviewed every three years in addition to submitting the Annual Budget Plans and Annual Service Plans each spring for the upcoming school year.     Governor Gavin Newsom today released the State Safe Schools for All plan, California’s framework to support schools to continue operating safely in-person and to expand the number of schools safely resuming in-person instruction.
