Request a Board Agenda Item
Any Board member or member of the public may request that an item within the Board’s jurisdiction be added to the agenda for a regular meeting. Requests must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent or designee, along with any supporting documents or information, if applicable.
The Board President and Superintendent will review each request to determine if it falls within the Board’s jurisdiction. Items outside the Board’s jurisdiction cannot be placed on the agenda. Additionally, before scheduling an item, they will assess whether it is simply a request for information or if it is already addressed by an existing policy or administrative regulation. If the request is within the Board’s jurisdiction and not already covered by policy, it will be scheduled for the next regular Board meeting, considering time constraints and staff availability.
The Board President and Superintendent will also determine whether the item should be discussed in an open or closed session and whether it should be categorized as an action item requiring a Board vote, an informational item that does not require immediate action, or a consent item that is routine and does not require discussion.
Board members and members of the public can submit agenda requests using the Google Form below. If you need assistance, please call Executive Assistant Valerie Bigham (831)633-3343 ext. 1210
