This advisory committee will have the opportunity to learn more about the District’s funding and budget to include various costs for basic services and programs that are currently offered. This committee will have a deeper look at “what’s behind the numbers” to better understand each Budget/Program cost, what is essential or required and what components of the budget could be re-examined. This is an advisory committee, not a decision making body, that will review budget/program cost information and make suggestions that will be brought forth at a Special Board meeting in February.
Membership of the committee includes:
Teachers, classified staff, parents, community members, bargaining unit representatives from NMCFT and CSEA, and two board members. Some representatives will also serve on the LCAP Advisory and the Parent/Community Advisory to ensure information is shared and there is overlap in terms of recommendations and stakeholder input.
This committee met on the following dates: January 9, January 16, January 23, February 6 and February 20, 2019 (rescheduled from February 13th) from 5:30 - 9:30. Please check back for information on future meetings
