  Mr. Kevin Healy, Clerk   khealy@nmcusd.org

Mr. Healy is a North Monterey County native who has lived in the area for over twenty years. He was born in Salinas and is a graduate of  NMCHS,  Hartnell College, and California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Kevin holds a Master's degree in Agriculture and currently works for Dole as a Product Development Scientist. Mr. Healy has a daughter who is an elementary school student in the NMCUSD.  Mr. Healy's desire to serve the residents and the children of the community has led him to his current service as a member of the school board.

 


Mrs. Diana Jimenez, Member   djimenez@nmcusd.org

Mrs. Jimenez has served on the Board for ten years. She feels both a sense of responsibility and honor to serve on community boards and committees that help improve the quality of life for all She is a graduate of Hartnell College and CSUMB. She has lived in the North County area for over 30 years. She, her husband, and four sons attended schools in Castroville. Mrs. Jimenez works as a Program Manager for the Department of Social Services. Due to her personal experience as seasonal farm worker and former high school dropout, she has a great deal of empathy for families facing adverse challenges. She sees the potential and hope in all children.


Mr. Samuel Laage, President   slaage@nmcusd.org

Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Sam Laage is a graduate of UC Berkeley and the University of Michigan. A resident of the Monterey Bay area for over twenty years, Mr. Laage has had a variety of occupations. He has been teaching Biology at Gavilan Community College for the past ten years. Eleven years ago Mr. Laage and his wife Dorothy were married, bought their house on Elkhorn Road, and gave birth to their son Nathan. Mr. Laage is a firm believer in participating in the democratic process and the importance of public education as a means of achieving true social equality. Mr. Laage was elected to the Board in 1997.


Rachelle Morgan-Lewis, Vice President   rmorgan-lewis@nmcusd.org

Rachelle Morgan-Lewis joined the School Board in 1998. Ms. Morgan Lewis is married and has four children. She and her family moved to Castroville 17 years ago, and all of her children have attended North County schools. Ms. Morgan-Lewis has been a teacher and administrator, working in a nearby district for the past twelve years. She has instructed students in a variety of grade levels ranging from second through 8th. She has enjoyed the opportunity to serve on the Board and learn more about how our schools work.
