High School Graduation Requirements

Students graduating from high school in the North Monterey County Unified School District must earn a total of 220 credits during the four years enrolled. Students must earn 165 credits in the specific subject areas listed below. In addition, students need to earn 55 elective credits and pass the district proficiency test or the state California High School Exit Exam.

10 = Max credits that can be earned for student training program
40 = Max credits that can be earned for work experience
No maximum on credits that can be earned for ROP courses


COMMUNITY SERVICES AND JOB SHADOWING
45 hours of community service are required. Also, two job shadowing experiences are required, one structured and one by individual choice.
